Variety Name: c. indica Purpurea
|
Tall, broad, and hardy species-type canna with wonderful deep rich purple foliage and wide dark banding to the leaves. Smaller orange flowers attractive to hummingbirds. Grown for its foliage and as a background to other plantings.
In the USA it is sometimes referred to as "Russian" and may be the same.
Very tall height.
